Industry: Industrial Automation / Pneumatics / Electrical & Control Systems About the Role A leading industrial automation supplier within the pneumatic and control systems sector is seeking a driven Technical Sales Representative to join their Eastern Cape team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing client relationships, and providing technical solutions across industrial, manufacturing, and engineering environments. This role requires a strong technical background combined with a commercial mindset and the ability to engage confidently with engineers, maintenance teams, and procurement stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow sales within the Eastern Cape region
Manage and maintain existing customer accounts
Identify new business opportunities within industrial and manufacturing sectors
Provide technical product support and solution-based selling
Conduct site visits, client meetings, and technical presentations
Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow-up on sales opportunities
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
Liaise with internal technical and engineering teams for support and solutions
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting
Minimum Requirements
Proven technical sales experience in an industrial or engineering environment
Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, or automation systems
Ability to read and understand technical applications and system requirements
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Valid driver’s licence (company car provided)
Willingness to travel within the Eastern Cape region
Matric minimum; technical qualification advantageous
Preferred Experience
Candidates with exposure to the following industries will be highly advantageous:
Industrial automation Pneumatics and control systems
Electrical components or instrumentation
Mining or manufacturing sector sales
Engineering technical support or field service
