A specialist manufacturer within the expedition vehicle and custom fabrication industry is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join their production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery used in the manufacturing of precision components for vehicle interiors and structural assemblies. This role requires a hands-on, detail- oriented individual with strong technical ability and experience in CNC machining and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up, program, and operate CNC machinery (laser, milling, and/or routing equipment)
· Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and production specifications
· Manufacture precision components for vehicle interiors and assemblies
· Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of all machined parts
· Conduct routine machine checks, calibration, and basic maintenance
· Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs where required
· Work closely with design and production teams to meet build requirements
· Maintain safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards in the workshop
Minimum Requirements
· Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
· Experience with CNC setup, tooling, and machine programming (basic to intermediate)
· Strong attention to detail and quality control standards
· Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
· Good understanding of workshop safety procedures
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work under production timelines
Advantageous Experience
· CNC routing or laser cutting experience
· Exposure to woodworking, cabinetry, aluminium, or composite manufacturing
· Experience in automotive, caravan, yacht, or custom build industries
· Basic CAD/CAM knowledge
